A message from Gerry Gilles to the 2025 Volunteers of our world famous pancake breakfast
Good morning,
Every single one of you did an exceptional job yesterday while helping with the Fair’s Pancake Breakfast and I appreciate it so much. We served almost 400 people in just over 2 and ½ hours and I think most had a wonderful time. For those who are curious about the event, we used more than 80 pounds of good quality maple sausage, 25 dozen eggs that were very generously donated by FARMER BEN’S EGGS along with 10 bags of pancake mix. Twenty volunteers worked on this ‘Sold Out’ event. Please give yourselves a huge pat on the back for a very successful morning. A very special ‘thank you’ goes to Richard Calverley for bringing the big grill down from the Chemainus Rotary Club as the South Cowichan Rotary cook cart is no longer available for our use.
My appreciation for your volunteerism is immense. You have committed to this event year after year and you have made my job so much easier. Thank you!
